The profession of CPI is in steady progression; there are currently more than 1000 CPIs, with an excellent male-to-female ratio. While the majority of CPIs still work in Ile-de-France, notably in Paris, their mobility is demonstrated by their growing presence in other regions, in particular in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, Occitania and in Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur. The actual number of intellectual property specialist firms is therefore higher in regional France than in Ile-de-France.
